It’s a grey and windy day so we just ran the one trip today – an Ocean Discovery this morning. Wildlife sightings were very good. We quickly had excellent views of a very sociable Risso’s dolphin who approached us and swam along for a time. We then motored into the choppy waves a bit further…

We  had a Discovery Voyage followed by a Bay Discovery today, in rather more southwesterly wind than we have been used to this summer. We had a fabulous day on the water today with wildlife in great abundance. The morning was hot, calm and (mostly) sunny for our Discovery Voyage trip, and we found common dolphins in five places further offshore. They gave us wonderful views in the silky calm water. Coming inshore we saw loads of Manx shearwaters…

We had two Ocean Discovery trips today in calm conditions and hot sun. We saw grey seals down at the island, especially well this morning when they were hauled out on the rocks. We then headed westwards and everything seemed very quiet – until lots of feeding gannets were spotted in the far distance. Underneath…

We had to cancel yesterday unfortunately because of the strong easterly wind. Today it had dropped a lot though and we had two trips. This morning we saw several grey seals, lots of feeding seabirds and to finish the trip we had good views of some more Risso’s dolphins! These made us pretty late back…
