Monday 10th June

Risso's dolphin

It was a cool and breezy day today, but there was sunshine and a flat sea, so perfect for our Bay Discovery and Ocean Discovery trips. We could see the white waves and the swell further offshore so kept close to the coast. On this morning’s Bay Discovery we sailed past St Michael’s Mount before heading across the bay to Mousehole where we saw several grey seals. This wind seems to have blown all the warmer water and seabirds offshore but it has made the sea exceptionally clear! This afternoon we had a booking with a friendly group of guests from the USA who enjoyed hearing about the history of the local area, and seeing the wildlife. We had good views of the seals and also found a scattered group of Risso’s dolphins along the coast.
