Tuesday 25th June

grey seal

It was a quiet sleepy sort of day today for our two Ocean Discovery trips. This morning we covered a lot of miles offshore and some shearwaters, guillemots, gannets and fulmars, all searching just like we were. A seal popped up in front of the boat who had been hunting several miles offshore. We then came into the coast and motored back into the bay, where we found some more seals hauling out on the island for the low tide. Apparently a pod of dolphins came in from the west half an hour behind usĀ  – that’s how it can be sometimes. This afternoon things woke up a little – as well as the seals, we found a couple of common dolphins and an ocean sunfish.

Looks like another warm sunny day tomorrow and there is availability on the 2 hour trip at 3.30pm
