Sunday 10th August

Dolphin leaping from blue ocean with distant rocky coastline in background.

It was a full on day today with three full trips in beautiful conditions. We found common dolphins and harbour porpoises on the three hour Ocean Discovery trip this morning, along with lots of seabirds including storm petrels. At the end of the trip we found several seals hauled out, who were still there at the start  of the second trip. This was a Bay Discovery, and despite the dolphins being much trickier to find, we still spotted some. On the second Bay Discovery we saw some fabulous gannet feeding and lots of Manx shearwaters, and suddenly there were dolphins everywhere we looked. It was so great to have sunshine and light winds all day.
