Monday 9th July
It all felt distinctly unpromising this afternoon with grey sky, grey sea and the threat of rain. However, despite the showers sweeping along the coast behind us, we didn’t get wet at all. We saw a few very lazy grey seals snoozing in the water by the island, before sailing offshore where we were “mugged” by a small group of common dolphins again. They appeared from nowhere and decided to join us for a while as we sailed. It was a small group of about 7-8, including some juveniles. There were lots of shearwaters gliding past, though not many gannets about.
I have added a two hour trip tomorrow morning at 10am, and plenty of spaces remain. There is one space left on the four hour trip at 1pm.
