Thursday 17th July
Another great variety of wildlife spotted today with grey seals, loads of common dolphins, several groups of harbour porpoises and some Risso’s dolphins on the morning four hour trip. Seabirds again included lots of storm petrels and diving gannets. This afternoon’s three hour trip was really chilled – we watched some common dolphins feeding with diving gannets in the bay then went for a really relaxing sail. Coming back into the coast the seals were hauling out on the coast giving us some really lovely views. The coming inshore we were passed by a small maternal pod of dolphins who had some really young calves with them so we just slowed right down and continued on our way back to Penzance.
