Thursday 16th October

Two porpoises swimming near the ocean surface with subtle waves.
Similar conditions to two days ago with a gloomy grey sky and choppy easterly sea, but the wildlife was more forthcoming. We went a bit further east this time, and as we sailed past a few gannets peering down at the sea, they started to dive. Then porpoise fins started rushing through the waves, and a decent sized pod of them paraded past the boat. We also had good views of bluefin tuna leaping close to the boat in several spots. We then sailed westwards over to Lamorna and up to Mousehole, where a seal stared at us as she waited for the tide to drop.
