Monday 11th August
We had a three followed by a four hour trip scheduled for today, but the weather forecast for today looked really dubious and unsure. Strong easterly wind coupled with heavy showers didn’t look like too much fun, however this morning the wind was still light and it was dry so we set off on the three hour. No sooner as we had then a burst of easterly wind (the worst direction to roughen up the sea) roughened it all up at the same time as a thunder and lightning warning appearing, so we shortened to two hours and came in early. Not before however we had a lovely encounter with a pod of common dolphins over near the Mount – a group of mums and calves gave us some great views.
