Sunday 24th August

Three dolphins leaping out of the ocean with a Marine Discovery Penzance logo in the corner.

It was breezier than expected today, with a southeasterly wind chopping up the sea nicely. This does mean a good wind angle for sailing away to the south though – everything seemed rather quiet inshore so off we went, and on both trips we found lots of common dolphins and feeding seabirds. There were a few tuna charging around among them, though they were much less obvious than they have been. The dolphins were enjoying the choppy conditions today. We also found some grey seals on the island.
