Friday 22nd September

grey seal

Just the one trip today in a strong northwesterly wind. Conditions were pretty challenging, but we found several groups of porpoises and dolphins. A couple of porpoises were towards the Mount under a single circling gannet, then we found various small groups of dolphins as we sailed southwards. Further west in some strong wind and choppy waves we found some diving gannets which showed us where there were bluefin tuna splashing and also a large group of hunting porpoises. Because there were some large stomach churning swells out there we the came into the shore and sailed back along the coast, and we found a few seals around the island to finish the trip.
