Tuesday 26th August

Three seals resting on rocky shore with sea waves in foreground.

The much publicised swell generated by Hurricane Erin arrived today. While it was powerful, it was short lived and we were able to head out for a two hour trip in the morning and a three hour trip in the afternoon. The wind had dropped so it was fun riding safely on such powerful waves and admiring them hitting the coast. There were seals sheltering on the island, including a very pregnant looking female and lots of seabirds who were who appeared to be enjoying the energy of the weather.
