Sunday 21st May

a bird flying in the sky

Beautiful weather again today, and it felt properly warm out of the wind. On this morning’s Ocean Discovery we went a long way south and had good views of a harbour porpoise as it did a slow track past the boat. We also saw several large rafts of seabirds – kittiwakes, shearwaters and auks mainly. On this afternoon’s Discovery Voyage we saw lots more seabirds including an adult puffin, and grey seals in a couple of locations. We also saw (and heard!) some choughs near Land’s End.
