Saturday 28th June

common dolphins

Greetings from a misty Mazey Day in Penzance. The murk hung around all day today which was a pity, though I think it might have been pretty hot if the sun had broken through. There were plenty of dolphins around on this morning’s four hour Discovery Voyage. As has been the case the last few days they were feeding in the bay early in the morning, interspersed with some socialising. We also saw lots of seabirds and some grey seals hauled out. On the afternoon Bay Discovery there were even more seals there resting on the rocks. After sailing offshore we found ourselves heading into a really thick fog bank. Hopefully this clears soon.
