Sunday 28th September
They day started slowly before turning in to a 4 cetacean species day. In the morning we had lovely views of harour porpoises before heading out and finding some tricky common dolphins. There were lots of gannets and kittiwakes feeding offshore. On the way in we stopped to see some grey seals on the island.
In the afternoon we stopped to watch seals on the way out and soon after found some more harbour porpoises which gave us great views. Further offshore we found more porpoises and just after we had finished watching them a minke whale surfaced. Searching for the whale lead us to some interactive common dolphins. On the way in we found a large pod of Risso’s dolphins, which was a very special sight in the low evening sunshine. All in all another great day on the water.
