This one was swimming along barely breaking the surface, which made it hard to spot. The calm conditions still allowed us some good views. It makes you understand how vulnerable they are to being hit by fast moving boats when you see them like this. One of the reasons we switched to the sailing catamaran was to slow things down in order that we could spot more animals but also to minimise the risk of injuring them. Fast boats are not compatible with safe and responsible wildlife watching.
